Based right next door in San Mateo, Spitz & Davis Pediatric Dentistry has been caring for local families for more than 50 years. Their friendly team is dedicated to helping kids feel comfortable while receiving the very best dental care. We’re so grateful to have them join our network and support our schools and community.

Dr. Spitz, a Cleveland native, has dedicated his career to pediatric dentistry. After serving in the U.S. Army and earning the Bronze Star in Vietnam, he completed his pediatric residency at Case Western Reserve University. He and his wife, Beth, moved to San Francisco, where he directed the Pediatric Dentistry program at Children’s Hospital Oakland before opening his own practice in 1975. Since 1985, he has practiced in San Mateo, serving Bay Area families. Dr. Spitz and Beth raised their two sons, Brian and Michael, on the Peninsula, where they were active in the community.
Dr. Davis, a Tucson native, studied at Dartmouth College, where he played basketball, before earning his dental degree magna cum laude from Boston University. He completed his pediatric residency at Boston University/Boston Medical Center, serving as chief resident. In 2012, he and his wife, Kimmie, settled in the Bay Area, where they are now raising four children. Dentistry runs in his family—his father and two brothers are also pediatric dentists. Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys family time, hiking, golfing, basketball, and staying current with the latest in dental care.

We have served the Peninsula for over 50 years. We pride ourselves on making sure every patient and family has a positive dental experience. We try to have a positive influence on patients making healthy decisions with not only their teeth but as a whole, because this has an effect on their attitude toward healthcare in the future. Saving lives... One tooth at a time!
What message would you send your Burlingame’s students and teachers?
A new year brings endless opportunities for growth and learning. Each day is a chance to discover something new, not just from your teachers, but also from your classmates, friends, family, and even your own experiences. Stay curious, ask questions, and keep an open mind. Every challenge you face and every success you achieve will help shape the person you are becoming!
