Investing in Our Schools, Our Students, and Our Community

BCE is proud to shine a spotlight on Grupology, a longtime and dedicated business partner supporting Burlingame public schools and the students they serve. Founded by Burlingame resident, former BSD parent, and educator Rosy Cohen, Grupology provides academic programs, tutoring, seasonal camps, and chess instruction to students in the community and beyond.

As a parent, educator, and local business owner, Rosy understands firsthand the importance of strong schools and a connected community. We’re grateful for Grupology’s continued partnership with BCE and for Rosy’s commitment to giving back to the community her family has called home for more than 15 years.

We caught up with Rosy to learn more about her connection to Burlingame, why she supports BCE, and what inspires her work with students.

Meet Rosy Cohen

"I’m Rosy Cohen, founder of Grupology, an education and learning company with locations in Burlingame and San Mateo. Originally from San Francisco, I’ve called Burlingame home since 2010, when my older son was just two months old. We moved here excited to raise our family in a wonderful community and give our children access to great schools."

What do you love the most about Burlingame?

" I love that Burlingame feels like a true walking neighborhood, with sidewalks, beautiful trees, and hills. It’s a place where local coffee shops know your name, with a town square, community festivals, and a genuine sense of connection. At the same time, Burlingame is a growing city nestled between two forward-thinking hubs, San Francisco and Silicon Valley, with beautiful hiking trails steps away. It really offers the best of both worlds."

Why do you support BCE?

"I support BCE because our schools and teachers are foundational to a thriving community. If we want our children and students to thrive, we need to support them with both our time and our resources. For me, supporting BCE has always been a no-brainer. It feels good to give back and pay it forward to the community that has given so much to my family.

"I find both learning and teaching joyful and rewarding. Sharing what we know is a form of connection, and to me, human connection is vital." Rosy Cohen, Founder of Grupology

What message would you like to send to our Burlingame students, teachers ?

My message to students is: stay curious, take advantage of the opportunities around you, and never stop learning.

And to our teachers: thank you for sharing your knowledge, encouraging curiosity, and making such a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.
