Rebecca and her husband, Dave, moved to Burlingame in 2017, when, after giving it their best shot, the public school options in San Francisco just weren't working for the family. Committed to finding an excellent public school that her then third grader and incoming kindergartener could walk to, she landed on Washington Elementary. Go Wildcats!

Rebecca majored in writing at the University of Puget Sound, and worked for several years in book publishing before getting her MBA at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. She spent over a decade working in public education in Oakland, focusing primarily on public relations, fundraising, and community engagement. She is now a stay-at-home mom and full-time volunteer.

Rebecca has previously served as the President of the PTA at Washington Elementary, and is the current President of the BSD PTA Council. She coaches middle school robotics, drives to a lot of water polo practices, and enjoys walking her big furry dog.
