Nael and his wife Sarah moved to Burlingame in 2015 from San Francisco. They selected Burlingame for the great schools, beautiful neighborhoods, and proximity to family.

Nael was motivated to serve on the BCE Board after better understanding the funding challenges our Burlingame schools face and realizing how significant an impact BCE can have in helping improve the educational experience for our kids.

Professionally, Nael is an investor at Osterweis Capital Management, and serves as Co-Chief Investment Officer of the Core Equity business. He regularly volunteers at the SF-Marin Food Bank and the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco and enjoys coaching his daughters’ soccer and basketball teams. His wife Sarah is a physician and Professor of Medicine at UCSF. They have three daughters, two of whom are at Hoover Elementary.

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Nael loves going back with his wife and kids to visit family. When not traveling, you can find him running, reading, and playing sports with his kids.
