Meet

Rob Buccieri

Secretary

Born and raised in Truckee, Rob Buccieri traded big woods for big city when he left home to attend college at USC in Los Angeles. After a few years of living and working in San Francisco, Rob and his wife Kate decided to make Burlingame their permanent home. “It didn’t take much convincing,'' says Rob. “Afterall, Kate grew up in Burlingame!”

Rob joined the BCE Board of Directors mid-year in 2021 after filling a vacant spot from the Board’s former Hoover Site Director who moved away. Rob’s enthusiasm to get involved with BCE stemmed from his understanding of BCE’s overall mission. “We are lucky to have 7 amazing schools, but I feel that education is key in order for our schools to continue to thrive,” said Rob. “This role has given me the opportunity to further educate parents about the ways in which BCE supports an excellent public school education for every child in our district,” he said.

During the day, the busy dad of three kids at Hoover (Joe, a 5th grader, Mara, a 3rd grader, and Anna, a 2nd grader) works as a commercial litigator, something he’s been enjoying for more than 20 years. In his spare time, the self proclaimed “Ted Lasso of Lacrosse” enjoys coaching the game that he never played himself, as well coaching flag football, and playing guitar.

Though his days are busy and his house can be loud, Rob says that he can always find solace by quietly sitting and staring at Donner Lake.

Be sure to say hello to Rob when you see him on campus or on Zoom!
