Meet

Nicole Mustafa

VP New Families

Nicole Mustafa and her husband Saqib moved to the Peninsula in 2016 with their, then, four month old son, Shahbaz (Shaby). By the time Shaby was approaching school age NIcole and Saqib had two kids and moving to a good school district was top of mind.

Having grown up with two public school teachers at home, Nicole has always had a soft spot for teachers. “I have always understood the importance of supporting our teachers as well as our students,” she said. “I’m excited to be joining the BCE Board of Directors and contributing to an organization that not only supports important programs that benefit our kids but also pays for teacher salaries.”

The Wisconsin native, mom to 2nd grader Shaby, and Kindergartner Khaleel, has played many roles in her life. Prior to having kids, she was a small business owner, and later worked in surgery at a level 1 trauma center. Over the years Nicole has also kept herself busy by serving on various professional association boards and volunteering at her kid’s schools, including being on the PTA Board at Washington Elementary.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys hosting parties, having dance-offs, and making and fixing things. The self-described “handy and crafty person” loves to share her bright ideas with friends and neighbors when given the opportunity. Nicole and her family have also been kept busy this year with their recently-adopted two orange Maine Coon kittens.

Be sure to say hello to Nicole when you see her around town!
