Vidya Nathu
Co-VP Events
Vidya Nathu is currently the VP of Events for Burlingame Community for Education (BCE), where she’s focused on creating events that bring people together and inspire the community to rally behind public education. She joined BCE to help ensure every child in Burlingame has access to the kind of educational opportunities that spark curiosity, confidence, and creativity. A proud public school parent, Vidya is deeply committed to supporting and strengthening public education for all families in the community. She’s especially excited to partner with her co-VP, Davina Chall, as the two first discovered their event-planning chemistry many years ago—while wrangling toddlers and organizing preschool events. She also serves on the Board of the Burlingame Library Foundation, where she supports efforts to provide free, enriching programming for the entire community.
Vidya previously served as President and VP of Communications for the Lincoln Elementary PTA, where she worked to strengthen school-home connections, build inclusive community events, and advocate for the needs of students and teachers. Her time on the PTA deepened her passion for educational equity and the power of parent engagement. Before all this volunteer hustle, Vidya worked in Investor Relations and fundraising at Parnassus Investments, so yes, she’s very good at asking for money (nicely).
She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, which explains her love for country music and her ability to smile while multitasking. She holds degrees from Belmont University and Lipscomb University. These days, her favorite roles are mom to Rylan and Remy, wife to Kisen, and reluctant short-order cook. When she’s not organizing something, you’ll find her painting, traveling, or listening to a book she’ll probably recommend to you by chapter three.
