Meet
Christina Funk
Co-VP Business Development
Originally from the nearby Santa Cruz Mountains, Christina Funk spent college and several working years on the East Coast before moving to Burlingame in 2010 with her husband, Jamie.
The busy mom of two kids - Caitlyn a sixth grader and Conor a fifth grader - Christina has made volunteering in her local community a priority. In addition to serving on the PTA and spending several years on the board at the Burlingame Library Foundation, she is in second year as BCE's VP of Business Development. Currently serving as a Director of Major Gifts for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula, the Duke University graduate has spent her career in corporate sales.
Christina decided to take on the critical job of VP Business Development to help communicate the important role that BCE plays in our Community. "Burlingame is a special community and local businesses want to be involved in helping our children. I'm excited to communicate the importance of BCE and why it desperately needs our support to improve the learning opportunities for our kids. Without BCE, we don't have the programs our children enjoy every day like P.E. and music; it's critical."
When she’s not working or volunteering, Christina can be found decompressing on the tennis court.
Be sure to say hello to Christina if you see her around town or on Zoom!
