Meet

Ann Wang Reed

Co-VP Marketing

A Bay Area native and proud product of public K-12 education, Ann understands firsthand the transformative power of a strong public school system — and the vital role additional community funding plays in helping California schools truly thrive.

Ann brings a well-rounded foundation in marketing, technology, and user engagement to her work, holding an undergraduate business degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania alongside a Master’s in Technology, Innovation, and Education from Harvard. A seasoned corporate leader in advertising, risk, and product monetization, her professional journey includes impact across top technology and global brands including Google, Visa, Yahoo, and Sony.

Ann’s commitment to public education is deeply personal. Having called Burlingame home for over a decade with her husband, Scott, and their two children — Alianna (an 8th grader at BIS) and Anderson (a 4th grader at McKinley) — Ann has devoted years to supporting local schools from the ground up. At McKinley, she has worn many hats — serving as past PTA Co-President, VP Communications, VP Programming, Historian, and Yearbook Editor. At BIS, she continues building community connections by leading Spirit Gear to foster Trojan pride.

Ann believes that investing in public schools is about creating a lasting legacy — one that enriches the student experience today while laying the groundwork for thriving, engaged citizens tomorrow. As Co-VP of Marketing, she is honored to channel her professional experience and volunteer leadership into driving family outreach, strengthening engagement, and maximizing BCE’s collective impact for years to come.

When she isn’t working, cheering on her kids in their passions, or hiking with her dogs Gizmo and Gusto, you can still catch Ann bringing smiles and spirit to the community, dancing throughout Burlingame with McKinley’s Max the Bulldog.
