Meet

Jen Polidoroff Fredericks

Co-Roosevelt Site Director

Jen was born here in the Bay Area and has been active in the local community pretty much all her life. Both she and her husband, Justin, are strong believers in the public school system, and after enrolling their son in the Burlingame School District, Jen was eager to get involved with BCE. She originally started off volunteering a couple hours a week in support of the foundation before formally committing to join the board as one of Roosevelt’s Co-Site Directors for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

“Seeing the community come together through this foundation is incredibly powerful! BCE supports additional teachers and critical resources that are simply not possible through state funding alone. I’m excited to be part of this ongoing commitment to sustain and improve the quality of education for every child enrolled in our schools.”

From attending local public schools herself, to volunteering for a year as a counselor for Rape Trauma Services of Burlingame, to over 10 years working in development for the Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, community building has always been a huge part of Jen’s life. In each of these experiences, she’s seen first-hand how impactful it is when the community comes together in support of a shared vision and she’s very excited for this next chapter with BCE.

When she’s not busy with work or shuttling her son to various activities,Jenenjoys getting together with friends and family, curling up with a good book, or convincing her husband to tackle a new home project.
