Meet

Alejandra Sereleas

Co-President

Originally from Colombia and married to her Greek husband, Kostas, Alejandra likes to joke that their household is its own little United Nations. They moved to Burlingame just before the pandemic and have loved putting down roots here ever since.

Their daughter, Dagny, has taken the family through McKinley’s Spanish Immersion program, Lincoln, and now BIS. Outside of school, they have also enjoyed becoming part of the broader Burlingame community through Dagny’s swim team at Burlingame Aquatics.

Professionally, Alejandra spent more than 20 years leading finance, business strategy, and organizational transformation across the healthcare, entertainment, and consumer industries. Throughout her career, she led large teams and complex initiatives, helping organizations turn ambitious ideas into practical results. She is excited to bring that experience—and her natural tendency to jump in with both feet—to BCE.

Alejandra joined the BCE Board because she believes deeply in the power of public education and community involvement. She is especially passionate about helping families across the district understand BCE’s role, feel connected to its mission, and recognize the many ways they can be part of its impact. She is honored to serve as Co-President and excited about what BCE can accomplish together this year.

When Alejandra isn’t working on BCE, she can usually be found cheering from the pool deck, planning the family’s next adventure, or trying to keep up with Dagny’s very full schedule.
