Meet

Alana Kleinerman

Franklin Site Director

Alana Kleinerman and her husband Christian settled in Burlingame in 2015 after living in Southern California for a few years. Born and raised in Ukraine and having moved around quite a bit throughout her life, Alana was more than happy to call the Bay Area the place where they would raise her kids.

Volunteering and being involved in her kid’s schools has always been a priority for Alana. Throughout the years she has helped in the classroom as a room parent, 2019 and 2020 BCE Gala planning and execution, and most recently served in the new Communications role on the Franklin PTA Board. When asked why she decided to join the BCE Board as the Franklin Site Director, Alana said, “I volunteered with BCE prior to the pandemic and got familiar with its wonderful cause and mission. It felt like the right time for me to get more involved to help BCE achieve its goals.”

Before taking a break from her professional career, the busy mom of three kids (Angela, a 4th grader and Liam a 2nd grader, both at Franklin, as well as Catalina who will be in Kindergarten in the Fall), worked in corporate and real estate finance.

In her spare time Alana enjoys traveling, tennis, snowboarding/skiing, and spending time with good friends and good wine. She is also ambidextrous and is currently learning how to play piano along with her kids.

Be sure to say hello to Alana when you see her around town!
