Community Spotlight: Maverick Jack's

Maverick Jack's, located right by the Burlingame Broadway train station, has become a beloved local spot known for its delicious burgers and shakes, and welcoming, family-friendly vibe. But what many don’t know is that this locally owned gem has also been a dedicated supporter of Burlingame's public schools for years. In this post, we chat with Micheál Mallie, the owner of Maverick Jack's, to learn more about his commitment to the community and his ongoing support for education. Read on for this inspiring interview and be sure to take your family to Maverick Jack’s for a fun, delicious dinner or order from their catering menu for your next meeting/event.

What do you like the most about the Burlingame Community?

Burlingame has a very dedicated group of family leaders who strive to deliver the best opportunities for all the students in the district and it is that family driven purpose that creates community.

Why are you supporting BCE programs?

We have participated in many BCE and school events (auctions, Read-a-thon) and can see the results of a fully rounded education. Students are engaged, they are given outlets to express themselves while also completing core subjects. BCE funds so much of that extra curricular education.

"Maverick Jack's has been a part of the Burlingame community and have proudly been a sponsor of BCE for 8 years" - Micheál Mallie, Owner.

What's your message to Burlingame’s students and teachers?

Keep producing great results and people by doing what you are doing, educating the mind and soul!!
