Meet Erica Liang, Treasurer

Originally from Los Angeles, Erica Liang made the move to Northern California in the 90’s to attend Stanford. After a short out-of-state stint for graduate school, she returned to California and decided to make the Bay Area her home. Erica and her husband, Bill, chose Burlingame in 2010 because of its perfect proximity to the North and South Bays.

Like many dual working parents in our district, volunteering in the community and being involved in their kids’ schools is something Erica and her husband strive to make time for. As Erica begins her first year on the BCE Board of Directors as Treasurer, her husband will be in his second year as Franklin PTA Co-President.

When asked why she made the decision to join the Board, Erica said, “It's important for me to support BCE however I can, and taking on the role of Treasurer seemed to be a great fit.” She continued, “I'm also looking forward to the amazing experience of serving on a significant non-profit Board that benefits every child in our district.”

A mom of two kids, Owen a fifth grader and Lizzy a third grader, Erica spends her days as Head of Operations and Finance for a software startup located in Burlingame. In her spare time, Erica enjoys gardening, knitting and watching Korean dramas.

Be sure to say hello to Erica if you see her around town or on Zoom!
