Originally from the nearby Santa Cruz Mountains, Christina Funk spent a few years in the South and on the East Coast before moving to Burlingame in 2010 with her husband Jamie.
The busy mom of two kids at Washington, Caitlyn a third grader and Conor a second grader, Christina has made volunteering in the community a priority for the past few years, serving on both PTA and BCE site teams, as well as holding the notable role of Co-President for the Burlingame Library Foundation. Before taking a break from her professional career, the Duke University graduate spent 12 years in corporate sales, most recently at Salesforce.
Christina decided to take on the critical job of site director to help communicate the important role that BCE plays for each student. “I’m excited for the opportunity to expand Washington’s contribution and engage the parent community in a discussion about all the ways that BCE directly changes the day-to-day learning for our kids.”
When she’s not volunteering, Christina can be found decompressing on the tennis court.
Be sure to say hello to Christina if you see her around town or on Zoom!
