As part of our “I am BCE” series, please meet Cathy Guglielmi, Lincoln’s BCE Site Director, who has 3 children at Lincoln.
So why Burlingame?
My husband Joe & I moved to Burlingame in the Spring of 2004. We moved to Burlingame because we were expecting our first child and needed a large home than what we had in our apartment in SF.
Why did you become involved with BCE?
I transitioned from PTA to BCE because I wanted my efforts to make a larger impact in the overall Burlingame community. Additionally, I wanted to get to know the parents outside of the Lincoln community.
What makes your school community special?
The people make this community special, including our administrators, teachers, parents and children. The real standout story for the kids at school is related to our fabulous PE teacher at Lincoln, Mrs. Rossi. All of my kids look forward to their birthday at Lincoln because Mrs. Rossi has a tradition of “chopping off their heads” in front of the whole class on (or around) their birthdays. It quite a drawn out hilarious event, and all the children at Lincoln love this tradition!
