We invite all parents to participate in the Fall Drive every year, while BCE volunteers educate our community about BCE’s mission and the positive impact our grant makes on every child in the district. The sooner and more accurately BCE forecasts donations from our parent donor base, the more volunteer resources we can focus on non-parent sources of funding.
Donations made during the Fall Drive or anytime throughout the year count towards a family’s annual campaign donation.

We have answers to all of your questions about the annual BCE Fundraising Gala, to be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Domenico Winery in San Carlos.
Questions:
Q: What is the BCE Gala?
A: The BCE Fundraising Gala is BCE's annual adult-only fundraising event featuring a wine reception, seated dinner, a live auction with exclusive packages, music, and dancing. Most importantly, the evening features an ever-critical Fund-A-Need where gala goers pledge donations to support our programs and teacher salaries.
Q: Do I have to be part of Scholars Circle to attend?
A: No. The BCE Fundraising Annual Gala is open to everyone.
Q: Is there a dress code for the Annual Gala?
A: The dress code is semi-formal. This year's theme is "The Emerald City," a nod to the Wizard of Oz. Although costumes are not required, our gala planners suggest clothes in green, gold or rainbow.
Q: Can I purchase tickets at the door?
A: No. We are unable to sell tickets at the door.
Q: Do I get to choose my seat?
A: Yes. During the registration process you can provide information about who you'd like to be seated with. If this field is left blank, you will be seated with parents from your school.
Q. Can I participate in the Live Auction even if I don't attend?
A: Our Live Auction offers exclusive packages (destination travel, dining experiences, and more) which are only available to Gala attendees. However, the Annual Auction is available online and will be open to all in Spring 2023.
Q: Does the price of the ticket count toward my annual contribution to BCE?
A: BCE is deeply grateful for your participation of the Fundraising Gala. As per BCE's Gift Listing Policy, only donations of cash, stock/securities, automobiles immediately liquidated to cash, and employer matching gifts will determine a donor's annual campaign donation and listing level in BCE's annual report. Your Fund-A-Need contribution does count toward your family's annual gift listing level.

Note about COVID-19
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.
