BCE has a $ 1 million dollar goal this year to support P.E., Music, Library and Drama programs, as well as keep class sizes as small as possible, in all the six Burlingame public schools.
But did you know that about 25% of the funds are raised in one event every year? The BCE Dinner Dance is one of the biggest revenue generators for the BCE. Please join us on Saturday, February 27th at the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame!
- 5:30pm Cocktails and Silent Auction: Staggered Closing Times Between 7:00 and 7:20 pm!
- 7:30pm Dinner, Live Auction, and Raffle Prize Drawing
- 9:30pm Monte Carlo Casino and Live Music by
This year, BCE is resuming a sit-down dinner style, which will be comprised of tables of ten people. If you are new to the BCE Dinner Dance and Auction, this is a great way to either come up with a table of ten (or less) friends to sit together, and even bid on Live Auction items together! If you don't have ten people, or even four people, don't worry! We will be happy to place you at a table with other parents from your school, and you can get to know some new friends.
Casino Royale
This year the excitement of Monte Carlo arrives for the BCE Dinner Dance! Our Casino Royale will feature 27 gaming tables, including Black Jack, Craps, Roulette and 3 Card Poker. The Casino Royale will be open from 9:30 to 11:30 pm at the Hyatt Grand Ballroom.
Rules of the Game:
Each Dinner Dance attendee will receive $100 in casino chips to wager on his/her favorite games. When the player is finished playing, she/he can cash the winnings in for tickets to the Casino Drawing (one ticket for every $100 worth of casino chips). The player may also purchase more chips from casino chip runners until the Casino Royale closes. Chip re-buy pricing is as follows: $20 buys $40 in casino chips, $50 buys $100 in casino chips and $100 buys $300 in casino chips.
Casino Drawing Prizes:
Casino Drawing prizes include your choice of a round of golf for four at the famous Pebble Beach Golf Links or a day in the beautiful Casa Palmero Spa at Pebble Beach for four where you can enjoy the Paradise at Pebble Beach treatment package or equivalent. We also have a lovely magnum bottle of premium wine from Napa Valley, a special weekend getaway package and other exciting items for you to splurge and try to acquire with your winnings. All prizes will be drawn at the end of the evening, but winners do not need to be present to claim the prizes.

Want to help out?
There are lots of opportunities to help BCE at the Dinner Dance! Well need people the night of the event to sell raffle prize drawing tickets and wine, to help set-up the club scene, to help check guests in at registration and check guests out at the end of the night, and lots more! If youd rather help before February 27th, there are committees writing descriptions of auction items for the program, stuffing invitations in envelopes, packaging auction items, and entering data in our auction tracking database. If youd like to get involved, please contact
BCE Dinner Dance Co-Chairs
Maarit Visbal (maaritv@comcast.net)
